Login and Register Form Widget for Elementor Pro

Login, registration and lost password forms on your page

Overview

What Login and Register Form does

Login and Register Form puts login, registration and lost password forms on any page, in tabs or on their own. The forms work in place, so visitors do not have to visit the WordPress login screen. Use it for member areas, shops and any site with accounts.

The login form is not shown here for safety.

Features

What it can do

  • Login and registration in tabs, or a login only or register only form

  • Lost password form that opens in place from a link under the login form

  • Forms submit without leaving the page and show error messages inside the form

  • Show password button and a Remember Me box

  • Registration can ask for a username and a password, or just an email

  • Optional terms checkbox with links in the text

  • Redirects after login and after registering, with automatic login for new accounts

  • Logged-in view with a message and a log out link

Use cases

When to use it

Member login page

Build your own login page in your site design, and send members to their account page after login.

Quick sign up

Turn off the username and password fields so new visitors register with only an email. WordPress emails them a link to set a password.

Shop customer accounts

Let customers log in or create an account on a page in your own design, then send them on with After Login Go To.

Setup

How to set it up

What you need: For the registration form, turn on Anyone can register in Settings, General. The login and lost password forms need nothing extra.

  1. Drag the Login and Register Form widget onto the page.

  2. In the Forms section, set Show to Login and Register (tabs), Login Only or Register Only.

  3. In the Fields section, set the labels and choose whether to show Labels, the Remember Me box and the Show Password Button.

  4. Decide what registration asks for with Ask for a Username When Registering and Let Visitors Choose a Password, and add a Terms Checkbox if needed.

  5. In After Login and Logged-In View, set After Login Go To and choose what logged-in visitors see.

  6. Open the Style tab to set the box, tabs, text, fields, button and message styles.

FAQ

Questions and answers

Why can visitors not see the registration form?

Registration is turned off in WordPress. Turn on Anyone can register in Settings, General. In the editor the form still shows, with a notice.

What do logged-in visitors see?

By default a message such as You are logged in as {name}, with a log out link. Set When Already Logged In to Show Nothing to hide the widget for them.

What happens if the script fails or the visitor is offline for a moment?

The forms fall back to the normal WordPress login, registration and lost password screens, so visitors can still get in.

Does the lost password form tell strangers whether an account exists?

No. It shows the same answer whether or not an account matches, and asks the visitor to check their email.
