Features

What it can do

  • Eight chart types: vertical bar, horizontal bar, line, area, pie, doughnut, polar area and radar

  • Data from typed labels and datasets, or from pasted CSV

  • Several datasets per chart, each with its own name and color

  • Mixed charts: show a dataset as a line over vertical bars

  • Stacked datasets for bar and area charts

  • Value prefix, suffix and thousand separators on axes and tooltips

  • Doughnut charts can show text in the middle, including the total

  • A hidden data table carries the same numbers for screen readers

Use cases

When to use it

Monthly sales

Compare this year and last year as two datasets in a bar or line chart, with a currency sign as the Value Prefix.

Share breakdowns

Show how a total splits with a pie or doughnut chart, and print the sum in the middle with {total}.

Skill or score profiles

Use a radar chart to compare several scores across the same set of labels.

Bars with a trend line

In a vertical bar chart, turn on Draw as a Line (mixed chart) for one dataset to lay a line over the bars.

FAQ

Questions and answers

How do I format the CSV?

The first row has a corner cell and then the dataset names. Every next row starts with the label, followed by one value per dataset.

Can I give each pie slice its own color?

Yes. Enter colors separated by commas in Slice Colors (pie, doughnut, polar), one per label. Slices without a color use the built-in palette.

Can I combine bars and a line in one chart?

Yes. Choose Bar (vertical) and turn on Draw as a Line (mixed chart) for the dataset that should be a line.

Are the charts readable by screen readers?

Each chart comes with a hidden table that holds the same labels and values, and the chart itself is labeled with its title.
