Audio Player Pro

How to set up and style the Audio Player widget in Elementor.

Audio Player plays audio from the media library or from a direct link. It shows cover art, title and artist, a seek bar, skip buttons, speed, volume and an optional download button, and lists the tracks as a playlist when there are two or more. Use it for podcasts, music and voice notes.

Part of: Bright Addons Pro. Before you start: At least one audio file in the media library or a direct link to an audio file.

Set it up

  1. Add the Audio Player widget and open the Tracks section.

  2. In the first track enter the Title and Artist or Subtitle, then choose Audio From and select an Audio File or paste an Audio Link.

  3. Add more tracks for a playlist, and optionally a Cover Image and Length for each.

  4. Set a Main Cover Image for tracks without their own cover.

  5. Open Player, choose a Layout and switch the parts of the player on or off.

  6. Decide on Play the Next Track Automatically and Start Again After the Last Track.

  7. Set the Accent Color and other styles in the Style tab.

Style options

These sections are in the Style tab.

  • Player

background, border, shadow, radius, padding, accent color, button and progress colors, play button size and progress height.

  • Cover

    size and border radius.

  • Title, Artist and Time

typography and colors of the title and artist, and the time color.

  • Playlist

typography, text color, hover and current track backgrounds, item padding, radius and maximum height.

Tips

  • A track without an audio file or link is skipped. With no usable track the editor shows a hint and the page shows nothing.

  • The audio itself only downloads when the visitor presses play. Load Before Play set to Nothing gives the fastest page.

  • Set a Maximum Height in the Playlist style so long playlists scroll.

  • Without JavaScript the browser's own audio player is shown for the first track.

Questions and answers

Which audio files can I use?

Any audio file from the media library, or a direct link to an MP3, M4A, OGG or WAV file. Whether a format plays depends on the visitor’s browser.

Can I use it for a single track?

Yes. With one track the previous, next and playlist parts are left out.

Does the cover change with each track?

Yes. Each track can have its own Cover Image, and tracks without one use the Main Cover Image.

What happens when two players are on one page?

Starting one player pauses the others, so only one plays at a time.
