Template Carousel Pro

How to set up and style the Template Carousel widget in Elementor.

Template Carousel turns saved Elementor templates into slides, so each slide can be any layout you can build. Slides can also be plain rich text from the editor. Use it when a carousel needs more than images, such as cards, offers, case studies or mixed content.

Part of: Bright Addons Pro. Before you start: Elementor saved templates for the slides that use a template. Text slides need nothing extra.

Set it up

  1. Build and save the layouts you want to use as slides in Elementor's saved templates.

  2. Drag the Template Carousel widget onto the page and open the Slides section.

  3. For each slide set Content to Saved Template and pick it under Template, or keep Text Editor and type the slide text.

  4. Open Carousel Settings and set Slides Visible and Space Between Slides for desktop, tablet and mobile.

  5. Choose Move By, Slide Alignment and whether to Loop Back to Start, then turn on Autoplay if wanted.

  6. Pick an Arrows Position and a Pagination type.

  7. In the Style tab adjust the slide box, the arrows and the pagination.

Style options

These sections are in the Style tab.

  • Slides

background, border, shadow, radius and padding with a hover state, vertical alignment, opacity of slides that are only partly visible, and typography and color for text editor slides.

  • Arrows

offset or space from the slides, button size, icon size, colors for normal, hover and disabled states, border, radius and padding.

  • Pagination

space above, alignment, size, active width, gap, color, active color, radius and the typography of the fraction.

Tips

  • Loop Back to Start jumps back to the first slide after the last one. It is not an endless loop of repeated slides.

  • With the loop off, the arrows are disabled at the first and last position.

  • Autoplay also pauses while the carousel has keyboard focus, is off screen or the browser tab is hidden, and it does not run for visitors who prefer reduced motion.

  • Arrows placed outside the slides move inside the edges on tablet and mobile.

Questions and answers

What can a slide contain?

Anything you can build in an Elementor saved template, or rich text typed directly into the slide.

Why is my template slide empty?

The slide only shows published Elementor saved templates. Check that a template is selected and that it is published, not a draft.

Can I show a peek of the next slide?

Yes. Enter a decimal in Slides Visible, for example 1.2. On mobile the default is 1.15.

Can I mix template slides and text slides?

Yes. The Content choice is set per slide, so one carousel can hold both kinds.
