Particles Background Pro

How to set up and style the Particles Background extension in Elementor.

Particles Background draws moving particles behind the content of a container, section or column. Pick one of five styles and set the color, number, size, speed and opacity. The drawing is done by a small script inside the plugin, with no outside library, and it pauses when the container is off screen.

Part of: Bright Addons Pro.

Set it up

  1. Select a container, section or column, open the Advanced tab and open the section Bright: Particles Background.

  2. Switch on Particles and pick a Style.

  3. Set Color so the particles stand out against the background of the container.

  4. Adjust How Many, Size, Speed and Opacity.

  5. Choose a reaction in Near the Pointer, or leave it on Nothing happens.

  6. Pick the screen sizes in Show On and preview the page.

Options

These options are in the Advanced tab of the element.

Tips

  • This extension is available on containers, sections and columns only, not on single widgets.

  • Visitors who ask their system for reduced motion see the particles as a still picture.

  • With Connected dots every pair of nearby dots gets a line, so a very high How Many value costs more drawing work.

  • The device choice in Show On is read when the page loads.

Questions and answers

Does it load an outside particles library?

No. The drawing uses a small script that ships with Bright Addons Pro, and it is loaded only on pages where a container uses particles.

Can visitors still click the buttons in the container?

Yes. The particles are drawn behind the content and ignore the pointer for clicks.

Why do I see fewer particles on a phone?

The number is scaled to the size of the container so the density stays similar. At least four particles are always drawn.

Can I add particles to a single widget?

No. Put the widget in a container and switch the particles on for that container.
