Post Timeline Pro

How to set up and style the Post Timeline widget in Elementor.

Post Timeline lays out posts as cards along a vertical line, in the middle or on one side. It can add year or month headings, fill the line as visitors scroll and load more posts without a page reload. Use it for a blog archive, company history or news log.

Part of: Bright Addons Pro.

Set it up

  1. Add the Post Timeline widget to your page.

  2. In Query, choose the Source post type, Include Terms, Posts per Page, Order By and Order.

  3. In Timeline, pick the Layout, the Marker and the Date Format, and set Group Headings to By Year or By Month if you want headings.

  4. In Post Card, choose the Card Style and switch Image, Category Badge, Excerpt and Read More on or off. Pick the Meta items to show.

  5. In Load More, set More Posts to Load More Button or Infinite Scroll and type the Button Text.

  6. Use the Style tab to set line colors, marker size and card design.

  • Entrance animations are skipped in the editor and for visitors who prefer reduced motion.

Questions and answers

Does load more reload the page?

No. New posts are fetched in the background and added to the end of the timeline, and cards keep alternating sides.

What happens with the Post Image marker when a post has no featured image?

The marker is still shown, but it stays empty for that post.

Can I show custom post types?

Yes. The Source list in Query includes every public post type on your site.

Are excerpts of password protected posts shown?

No. The excerpt and reading time are left out for password protected posts.
