Social Proof Notification Pro

How to set up and style the Social Proof Notification widget in Elementor.

Social Proof Notification slides a small notification into a corner of the screen every few seconds, such as Anna from Sydney bought the Pro plan, with an image, a time and a link. Type the notifications yourself or show real recent WooCommerce sales, product reviews or new posts. It builds trust and sends visitors to the pages that matter, like your pricing page.

Part of: Bright Addons Pro. Before you start: Nothing for typed notifications and latest posts. WooCommerce for recent sales and product reviews.

Set it up

  1. Add Social Proof Notification to the page, or to a footer template to show it on every page.

  2. In Notifications, choose what to Show: Typed below, Latest posts, Recent WooCommerce sales or Recent product reviews.

  3. For typed items, fill in Name, Action, Message (optional), Time Text (optional), Image and Link, for example /pricing/.

  4. In Timing, set First One After, Show Each For and Time Between, for example 5, 6 and 8 seconds.

  5. In Layout, pick the Position and Shape, then decide on the Close Button and Hide on Phones.

  6. Style the box, text and image in the Style tab and update the page.

Style options

These sections are in the Style tab.

  • Box

width, distance from the edge, accent color, background, border, radius, shadow and padding.

  • Text

typography and color of the name and action, the message and the time.

  • Image

Tips

  • Sales, reviews and posts are read again every 10 minutes, so the page stays fast.

  • Only completed and processing orders of visible, published products are used; full surnames and emails are never shown.

  • In the editor the notification sits in place so you can style it; on the live page it slides in at the corner.

  • Put the widget in a footer template made with the Theme Builder to show it on every page.

Questions and answers

Can the notification link to my pricing page?

Yes. Every typed item has a Link field; type /pricing/ or any address. Sales and reviews link to their product.

Does it show customer emails or full names?

No. It shows the first name with the last initial, the first name only or Someone, and never an email.

Will it keep showing after a visitor closes it?

No. Closing stops the notifications for the rest of that visit.

Do I need WooCommerce?

Only for real sales and reviews. Typed notifications and latest posts work without it.
