Troubleshooting

Quick fixes for the problems people meet most often.

The widgets are not in the Elementor panel

My changes do not show on the live page

  1. Go to Elementor > Tools and clear the files and data cache.

  2. Clear your caching plugin, your host cache and your CDN.

  3. Reload the page with a hard refresh.

A widget looks different from the editor

This is almost always an old cached stylesheet. Follow the three steps above. If it still differs, a theme or another plugin may be adding its own styles to the same elements. Test with a default theme to confirm.

Widgets stop working with a speed plugin

Bright Addons marks its scripts so that common speed plugins do not combine or delay them. If a widget still does not react, exclude the scripts whose names start with bapro- or bright-addons- from JavaScript combining and delaying in your speed plugin.

Display Conditions do not change for visitors

Conditions are checked on the server each time the page is built. If a page cache serves one saved copy to everyone, conditions about the visitor (login, role, device, cookie, cart) cannot change the page. Exclude that page from the cache, or let the cache keep separate copies for logged in users and for phones.

A carousel or animation does not move

Check whether your device has reduced motion switched on. Bright Addons respects that setting and shows a still version.

Find a conflict

  1. Switch to a default WordPress theme and test again.

  2. Deactivate other plugins except Elementor and Bright Addons, then test again.

  3. Switch them back on one at a time until the problem returns.

Do this on a staging copy if the site is live.
