Advanced Post Grid Pro

How to set up and style the Advanced Post Grid widget in Elementor.

Advanced Post Grid lists posts, pages or any public custom post type in a grid, a masonry layout or a list. A query builder picks the posts, four card styles control the look, and a filter bar and pagination load more posts without reloading the page. Use it for blog pages, news sections and archive templates.

Part of: Bright Addons Pro.

Set it up

  1. Drag Advanced Post Grid onto the page and open the Query section.

  2. Choose the Source, then narrow it with Include Terms, Exclude Terms, Authors and Published Within.

  3. Set Posts per Page, Order By and Order.

  4. In Layout, choose Grid, Masonry or List and set Columns, Column Gap and Row Gap.

  5. In Post Card, pick the Card Style and choose the image, badge, Meta, Excerpt and Read More settings.

  6. Turn on Show Filter Bar and pick the pagination Type if visitors should browse more posts.

  7. Style the card, image, badge, text, filter bar and pagination in the Style tab.

Questions and answers

Does it work with custom post types?

Yes. Source lists every public post type on the site, and Filter By and Badge Taxonomy list every public taxonomy.

Do the filters and pagination reload the page?

No. New posts are fetched in the background and placed in the grid. The exception is Current Query, which uses normal page links.

Can I use it in an archive or search template?

Yes. Set Source to Current Query (archives and search) and the widget shows the posts of the page it is placed on.

How is reading time worked out?

From the word count of the post content, at 220 words per minute, with a minimum of 1 minute.
