How to set up and style the Pros and Cons widget in Elementor.

Pros and Cons shows two lists, one for the good points and one for the bad points, with tick and cross style icons. It is made for product reviews, comparisons and buying guides.

Set it up

  1. Drag the Pros and Cons widget onto the page.

  2. In Pros, set the Title and add your Items.

  3. In Cons, do the same for the bad points.

  4. In Layout, choose the Look and the Columns.

  5. Switch on Lines Between Items if you like.

  6. In the Style tab, set the Pros and Cons colors.

Content options

Pros

Option What it does
Title Heading of the pros list.
Title Icon Icon next to the title.
List Icon Icon in front of each item.
Items The good points, one per item.

Cons

Option What it does
Title Heading of the cons list.
Title Icon Icon next to the title.
List Icon Icon in front of each item.
Items The bad points, one per item.

Layout

Option What it does
Look Cards, Colored Header or Plain.
Title Tag The HTML tag of the two titles.
Columns Side by side, or one below the other.
Space Between Space between the two lists.
Lines Between Items Draws a thin line between items.

Style options

These sections are in the Style tab.

  • Colors

    pros color and background, cons color and background.

  • Boxes

    padding, border, radius and shadow.

  • Titles

    color, typography, icon size, space below and header padding.

  • Items

    color, typography, space between items, icon size, icon in a circle and line color.

Tips

  • Keep each item short: one idea per line reads best on phones.

  • Use One below the other in narrow columns such as a sidebar.

  • The Colored Header look works best when the title is short.

Questions and answers

Can I change the tick and cross icons?

Yes. Each list has its own List Icon and Title Icon.

Can I show only pros?

Yes. Leave the Cons items empty and only the Pros list has content.

Do the lists stack on phones?

Choose One below the other for narrow layouts so each list gets the full width.
